Sources of vitamin C
Iron is often found in animal foods, such as meat products. However, if you want to absorb iron from plant foods, it is important that you get enough vitamin C. Vitamin C stimulates the absorption of iron from your diet. Foods that contain a lot of vitamin C are among others:

Too much vitamin C is also not good
